Default TX Pricing

It's been a few years since my last car shopping experience (bought ES350 back in 2018). What's the general consensus on TX pricing? Is everyone expected to pay MSPR, over MSRP, under MSRP? I know the entire car shopping and pricing have changed since the pandemic. I'm assuming no one is getting anything close to invoice like pre-2020 days. Is the customer expected to pay all the processing fees and delivery fees or is it reasonable to ask the dealer to waive them?

Thanks!

paid MSRP. dealer gave me 5K more than bluebook for my trade. thought it was a fair deal. threw in a free oil change and sold me crossbars at an employee discount rate.

others can feel free to post up their experiences. I am sure there are some deals to be had. the car market is hurting and the bubble is about to burst, especially on used cars. other dealers who have been marking up cars above MSRP are out of their minds and in for a rude awakening.

Got a decent deal due to my trade-in allowance. They net us $15k on our 2020 RX350 lease with 23K miles.

We just got a couple of their normal cash offers and threw in wheel/tire and interior protection we had last time. No rebates or significant discount since they can't keep them on the lot.

I tried to talk my wife in keeping the 2020 RX, but happy wife happy life with $8 more a month. To be honest, I like our TX350 better than the (2) RX350's we had so far.

I got the dealer to budge a little.

not much though, 3 people were trying to buy the same vehicle while we were there.

Worth checking out a couple of Lexus dealerships if you can. I went to one and they were selling all their cars with a dealer markup over MSRP (~$700-$1000) and I went to another one and they had markdowns off MSRP anywhere from $700-$3000. Also, if you’re a Costco member, you can apply to get a fixed price where they will usually markdown the MSRP by a bit and have a very reasonable selling program. The dealership I chose beat the Costco pricing however so it wasn’t really needed.

We preordered our TX350 Luxury early November and took delivery on December 06. No dealer mark up, extra accessories and no trade in and got $2800 off MSRP. Bought our car from Lexus of San Diego.

that is a pretty good deal. there is around 4-5K in markup with MSRP on these cars after incentives if dealers hit their numbers. these cars are going to sell hot so for a while so I would figure anything 1-2k under sticker is not bad for the short term...

I thought it was a great deal since none of other dealershipsin the area wanted to sell under MSRP . When we ordered the TX, the sales advisor was telling how much off we were getting already....just picked the car and was out of the dealership in less than an hr.

is that something in partnership with your local lexus dealer or did you go through costco? was there any red tape in the T&Cs?

I don't see where the $1000 applies on this website... https://www.costcoauto.com/new_cars/rebates_incentives/

it is directly with Costco ... the amount of the discount is pre negotiated by Costco ... the dealer will have a price sheet. Not all dealers participate

The discounts are different for each model and change month to month.
