Default Custom Ordering TX

Any idea on when custom ordering for the TX will begin? My dealership told me they were still in allocation, so no orders at this time. I’m debating on waiting until later this year to order a 2025.

unless you are willing to sign some paperwork saying you will take the car no matter what and put thou$ands down I don't see this happening. or you have a life long relationship with your local lexus dealer. it seems like toyota/lexus is not doing build to order cars and doesn't have any plans to do so in the future. most dealers have told me they have stopped a few years back. best of luck.

On the Lexus.com website allows you to build different models. I didn't go that route when we got ours, because I really wasn't planning to drive a TX home that day. They found a trim equipped with the options & color my wife wanted.
The sales guy told us that they swap with other dealerships on inventory if they don't have one with the requested options on the lot, and that could take 2-4 weeks. Not sure if they can build one out that quick .

I just ordered a tx500h, will not be ready until nov/dec so dealer not sure if it will be a 24 or 25. Did not cost me thousands of dollars, paid a 1000 dollar refundable deposit. Only signed a few papers, so my dealer in Pa is taking orders

lucky you. I found a car with what I wanted and it all worked out but this is good to hear. did you have to try other dealers with an order before you found one who would take an order?

No, I had used this Lexus dealer in the past, don’t know if that had anything to do with it

Did you get a good price?
Most cases if not in inventory you may pay more.
I started to do the same, but fortunately the dealer I use owns more than one Lexus dealership. They rotate cars frequently with different trim & accessories.

Let us know when your new ride arrives...

Default Production Delayed Until at Least October 21

I just read that production delay will be extended from August 5 to October 21, at the earliest.
