OEM Running Boards - Easy DIY
#16
Gonna revive this post; I just got my running boards installed. Impressed with Toyota's aftermarket kits. Did mud flaps and boards and it was almost too easy, from the fender clips with mounting holes for the mud flaps, to molded lines in the underskirt for where to cut to reveal the running board mounting holes.
The look of the running boards is a super nice finishing touch. Really cleans up all of the sheet metal and molding. Glad I did it.
However, I was surprised at the pricing. I ended up paying the $690 MSRP locally which was like $50 more (after tax) than I could have got them shipped. I tried to talk down the local Toyota dealership, but they wouldn't budge. I would have thought with the stop sale, these kind of things would be on a fire sale... but I guess Toyota is really good at just-in-time manufacturing.
