Default TX 500H transition not smooth from EV to gas engine at low speed

I recently noticed that when my TX 500H speeds up from a full stop, at low speed, during the transition from EV to gas, the car occasionally "jerk" or "shudder" once when the gas engine engages in, not smooth. It feels like it suddenly reduces speed and then catches up again when turning on the gas engine. Not very often, sometimes not very obvious, and also depends on how fast I accelerate. It doesn't do this at high speed during EV/gas transition or in sports mode. Not sure if this is normal for the 500H hybrid system...Does anyone else have similar situation?
