Adjust iPhone new message volume

I am trying to reduce the volume of the iPhone new text message volume but it is grayed out.
Anyone know how to adjust?

Have you tried “unchecking” the switch right above the adjustment sliders that says “automatically adjust based on vehicle speed”?

I have. That did not change it. It was still grayed out.

I’ve actually had great luck with calling the salesman I bought from when I had questions. (The guy actually drives the same vehicle as i bought)

Make sure vehicle is in park when you toggle the auto leveler off and see if that works. I’ve noticed there’s a lot I can’t do if vehicle is not in park, settings wise.
