Default Cat Shield Installed!

Just installed a catalytic converter shield on my gf's UX200 because she lives in an area that has high theft problems.. Just wanted to say this thing is bad ***.. stainless steel and installed on my driveway in a little under an hour. I like how its bolt on and doesn't require any drilling into the car. Got it from catshield.com, I heard that is where Toyota gets all their shields from for their dealerships. So far so good, its one less thing she has to worry about when parking...

If they 'really' want it they will just come back with a cutting torch, Gone in 60 seconds and with a lot more damage to the car.

That shield will stop the random cat thief but not a professional group of dirtbags.

But I guess ever little bit helps.

Good luck.

Did you jack up the car on stands or was a ramp sufficient?

Default Warranty

Can this install affect the warranty at all? I am thinking about it. I am going to start with a Cat alarm though. Anyone use this:

Won't affect warranty, I wouldn't worry about it cause the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act https://www.autocare.org/government-...s-Warranty-Act will protect your warranty.
