Default Custom oil blend?

Hello all, I went to Walmart last weekend to procure oil change supplies for my 2019 UX250h. I bought a 5 quart jug of Mobil 0w-16 synthetic and a Toyota filter, pretty cool you can buy Toyota filters at Walmart.

While I was in the oil aisle I noticed Mobil 0w-8 oil. This got me thinking, I wonder what MPG's could be gained by making a custom blend of 0w-16 and 0w-8, say getting it to 0w-12 or 0w-10. Any gearheads on here have any thoughts on this?

You probably won't notice any increase in fuel economy.

Wash your car regularly with full body polish including a windshield. That will yield you a tad more MPG's.

Actually, you can inflate your tire pressure another 5 psi above your door post placard reccomendation or up to the maximum cold tire inflation pressure indicated on the tire sidewal.

This will yield a few MPG's more!

Good way to void your warranty.

Mixing oils is not a good idea, different additives may not be compatable.

Just stick with what the manufacture recommends.

Don't. just use what the manual says. no need to tinker with something as vital and sensitive as an engine.
