Saw the UX in the Flesh... (with pics)
Got to see the UX in a one-day preview at my dealer. Overall nice-enough vehicle for this segment, but I fear it falls short against the competition in terms of power, tech, and interior/cargo room (XC40, X2, etc)
Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Thanks for the pics. Contemplating getting one of these as a replacement for my 2016 IS300, lease up in December. As much as I have enjoyed the IS (on my 3rd one), the refresh isn't enough to keep my interest in getting another, at least until the next gen which should arrive around the time my NX lease is up. Aside from falling short of the competition, how would you compare the UX to the now unavailable CT (size, cargo room, etc)? Still waiting for more info on how these can be optioned out as the Canadian market gets all the "good" stuff.

As for Canada, I don't think this time around will we get more equipment. If the prototype is any indication, no HUD, 360 cam, ML, AVS, and so on, unlike for the European market.

You're welcome! UX is a bit bigger in all dimensions outside and on the inside, maybe 1-2 inches more legroom in total, about the same headroom, and maybe 1 inch wider rear bench. Cargo is slightly bigger, maybe 1 cu ft more. It's a nice successor to the CT for those wanting to upgrade.

Pole Position
This segment is getting too hot. New DS3 has been announced and looks more premium than this, new Q3 is a huge step up from the previous one just look at the door panels and compare them to UX and so on. Just like with NX Lexus is already one generation behind in the segment but so is BMW with X2. Toyota enthusiasts will consider this no doubt but no way they bring in the Q3 people in..

^^^ Unclear still because the UX is designed to carry a spare and some markets will have it, but likely not for hybrid due to the extra motors powering the rear wheels.
