Not sure if anyone will care, but it looks like Lexus is jumping onto the nickel-and-diming route that other automakers like BMW and Audi have been doing with auto-dimming on side mirrors. I had an inkling changes would trickle down into Lexus since Toyota made this same move this year with the Avalon, which is the only Toyota model to have auto-dimming on side mirrors. This is what the 2021 UX brochure reads:

What is the logic behind this? I've driven a Benz C300 before, which only has driver's side auto-dimming, and headlights that reflect onto the passenger-side mirror can be just as blinding. A passenger in the front seat can also be blinded by lights on their side mirror too. I don't understand the logic and cost-analysis that these automakers do to make these stupid changes.
