UX250h 12V battery died
Our UX 250h died and had to be towed to the dealer (it was 3 weeks old). The battery (12V) did not pass its load test, AND Lexus updated the phone home software which was draining the battery. Only recently discovered, I am told.
Our car was totally dead, (they said) because of the combination of buggy software, and an iffy 12V battery.
Working great now!

Good heads up, I know another user had a post about his UX's 12v battery drain issue. Not sure if it was related to this in the end
Knock on wood, my '19 250H hasn't had this issue so I'm hoping nothing comes up.

Hello. Please tell me where the 12v battery is in the ux250, I watched video reviews but did not see it anywhere. I will receive the car in a month, I want to find out in advance.

Quick review of Hybrid batteries, the 288vdc "traction" battery that powers the two Motor Generator MG units is
unlikely to ever go completely dead, unable to spin the Internal Combustion IC engine. The 12vdc Lead Acid battery
we are accustomed to needed to be large enough to start the IC engine and run everything else. With the Traction
Battery doing the heavy lifting, starting the IC and moving two tons of car up to 40 MPH (try pushing your car that fast!)
all the 12vdc battery is required to do is close a relay to start the IC and stabilize the voltage for the radio and lights.
All this to remind you that the Aux battery is much smaller than we are used to and will not run the radio (and computers)
for hours before running down.
