I have a set but they are not in good condition. 2 of them will need to be re-chromed due to some flakes of chrome that have come off. The chrome ones are hard to find

Here's my story - I have a 98 GS400 with Chrome 17s on it. I bent two of them when I hit a pothole. I am in need of two chrome also. However, I am willing to change the look of the car by getting different wheels if it doesnt cost me much more than replacing the 2 chromes. So, if we can find a way where I can buy say 4 silver in good condition, or a newer set of 17s, I could sell you my two chromes. Im desperate also which is why Im posting here.

I looked into buying knock-offs but just dont know about the quality ????? Best knockoff price I got was $220 including shipping....

i bought a set of chrome17s for the GS400 on ebay in hopes that i would be able to fit them on a 98 LS400. its not looking good though. apparently you can switch from LS to GS but not the other way since the 98 LS has bigger front calipers. i've not given hope yet though. i still have not physically tried the wheel on to see if spacers might solve the problem. i have left an email to TM Engineering to ask their opinion on this matter. if i don't succeed, i will first list them for sale on this forum before re-listing them on ebay. i don't know if you can view the auction anymore but the auction number is 8019571046. if you can see it, the picture you see is the worst wheel which has little defects except a little ripple on the center cap. the other three wheels are just as good if not better. i consider myself pretty picky but for a used set of wheels, they look good. if you are interested and if i give up on this project, i will take and email more pictures to you. i'm only looking to break even on this thing so i will take what my winning bid was plus the shipping charges.
