Well, that's how much they put on there when it was balanced at the Tire Center. The tires are off now so you can request less or no weights on there if you would like.

The reason for weights is to balance the wheel properly when spinning. The sheer amount of weights shown in your pic is the most I;ve seen....ever. There are other types of weights that can be installed....ones on the inside lip of the wheel.

so you are 100% sure they are not bend? the amount of weights tell me they might be bend ..i am very intrested..but not want to spend 1500 on bend wheels?

I am 100% sure they are not bent in any way shape or form. I'll post pics tonight of the set and also each individual wheel so you can see for yourself the hoops are still perfectly round.

Is everyone hesitant on purchasing these because of the weights? Again, I encourage anyone local to come by and take a look for yourselves.

I think most wheel ppl would be wondering why soooo many weights there....which MAY indicate a problem.

It may not be solely the wheel but the combo of that tire and wheel that threw off the balance.

Maybe a different tire on that same wheel will have different results?

throw the rim itself on the balancing machine and check if its the rim or if it was the tire.
