I bought these but found out the offset was wrong for my car (Subaru) so I need to get rid of
them. They have less than 1000 miles on them.
Motegi MR7 Silver - List price $140 each
17"x7" 40 Offset, 5x100 & 5x4.5 bolt patterns
Continental ContiTouring - List price $127 each
CV95 225/50 VR17 93V
Set includes four wheels and tires, mounted and balanced, along with hub centric adapter rings,
metal valve stems, Gorilla security lug nuts and socket. List price of set: $1068 + mounting +
balancing + shipping.
$500 for the set or willing to split the tires and wheels for a good offer.
I'm in Chicago area (NW Burbs). Local cash please.

BTW, here's the whole story if you're wondering.
I was looking for extra wheels for my new Forester. The stock tires suck (squeal to high heaven!) so I got these for a good price. I didn't think that the offset was that big a problem b/c clearance was fine, but apparently Subarus have an ideal offset around 48, but can go as low as 45mm. 40mm doesn't sound that far off, but Subarus are known to have weak wheel bearings in general so while a 5mm extra offset isn't a big problem for most cars, it's a no-no for subarus. Who knew???
I just picked up an 05 WRX suspension that I'm planning to put on the Forester so I'd like to sell these and get proper fitting wheels. That's why I'm willing to split the wheels/tires b/c I could still use the tires if someone wants the wheels.
Also, I've got 10 tires taking up space in my garage: 2 from my honda which i traded in (long story), 4 winters for my STi, and now these 4. Plus my roommate is looking for new wheels/tires for the IS250 he just ordered (that's how I found out about this forum)... so I'm trying to clean up my garage so we can actually fit two cars in it!
Sheeshk, all this cause subaru decided to skimp on wheel bearings...
