Sounds like a done deal.

Bob has StopTechs which is pretty close to the Rotora 4-pots. If you had the 6-pot, then it MIGHT be a problem, depending on how exact Bob pushed the fitment.

Can't wait for updated pics.

Hey TeeLex,

Make sure they are not the same specs as my Zone 1's that I bought from Bob. They WILL NOT, I repeat WILL NOT clear the Rotora's without a(n) 5-8mm spacer/adapters in the front! I ended up buying a new set of Stoptechs so I wouldn't have to run spacers/adapters. Not to rain on this thread but this was one of the problems that I had with the Zone 1's. Keep in mind that my offset was +37mm all the way around on a 20x9 and 20x11 wheel and was assured that they would fit Rotora's. Maybe Bob will adjust this new set to make it work. Other then that you're getting a hell of a deal on a monster set of wheels. Let us know how it turns out.

Bob should have a good idea on the fitment. I have the 4 pot Rotora 355mm's both front and rear - just like Adrian ( bluelex ). My Lowenhart BR5's just clear the fronts ( 20X9 +38 ), and I have some decent room in the rear with the 20X10 +43. I believe the StopTech 4 pot fronts are slightly wider than the Rotora 4 pot, so I should not have any problems up front. I gotta believe that Bob's Zones will fit my rears, too, since I have some room there and Adrian has the same lip as Bob and he clears. Bob sized Adrian's Zones, so he should know what I have relative to brake clearance. Thanks for the heads-up, though. Waiting on Bob to respond.....

Hi guys,

I guess this thread blew-up while I was out of town. Sorry about being incommunicado for a few days... Mother's Day at my folks' house, you know?

On what Joe mentioned about the Rotoras: this set of Zone 8s have an additional 5mm of pad height on the FRONT wheels compared with Joe's Zone 1s, so I don't forsee a clearance issue here.

The rears have a bit LESS pad height (15mm) and that's what I am mostly concerned about with the Rotora rear BBK. I haven't always had accurate data from the Rotora folks and their brake profile drawings, unfortunately! With the low pad height on the rear centers (I was going for big lip) they only clear the OE calipers by 8mm or so...

I'll look into the rear clearance concerns. I know I have the Rotora drawings here from Adrian's set.

New wheels are on and are actually 5mm more aggressive front & rear than the Zone 8s were. It turns out 295/25-20 loks pretty wicked on 20x11.5

Terry these will look outstanding on your car and really transform it. Hope the deal works out. After seeing this design and brush/polish combo on Al's LS I fell in love with the brush/polish combo. Either way good luck with the sale Bob.

Hi guys,

I finally found the Rotora drawings I used when developing Adrian's wheels.
Their drawings always scare me because they use very few reference points
and if you've ever looked at a brake caliper the outer edges of the caliper
have lots of angles and design details. Rotora is very vague about the
dimensions in these regions, so I have to extrapolate the data and
(more often than not) make an educated guess about what the caliper
actually loks like.

Now, StopTech... whose guys have KILLER drawings! Very detailed and specific.

Bottom line is: I know the front brakes will clear the Rotora calipers
due to the additional pad height (versus Joe's Zone 1s)

The rears should clear by about 4-5mm. Normally us wheel guys
like a minimum of 3mm caliper clearance, so I'm very comfortable with
this spec.

Terry, I'm sending you an e-mail about this, and I can forward the
Rotora caliper drawing if you're interested in seeing it.

Best,

Bob

Bob Terry came over Tues and we measured my rear clearence. It was 5/16 which I think we said was about 7.9mm from the furthest point of the cailper when it was closesest to the back of the spokes.

Terry, I hate to bust your bubble, but I beat you to the punch on this deal? The transaction is already done!

You know I'm messing with you! Those will look sick against your ride and will definitely transform your car to another level. I hope everything works out with the fitment issue?
