35, i know i know but that sort of defeats the purpose of having such a smooth ride in the first place. i had some 30 series (on 20" rim) on my last gs and it was pretty harsh.
i'm okay with fenders needing to be rolled but not to keen on the whole fender stretch thing. love the rims, but don't know if a 235 or 245 x40x19 on your wheels will need major fender work.
and what is a mild fender pull?? a fender pull is a fender pull

This is not that aggressive. If you roll/shave the fenders you can run almost any tire you want. I would do a rolled fender in front, shaved fender in the rear. 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 for comfort. It's only one size down and hardly a stretch. With the right fender mods it should clear no problem.

Sojah- a Mild pull means you DON'T have to repaint the fender afterwards.

so just rolling both front and rear fenders might not cut it on a 235/40/19 front and a 265/35/19 rear? i guess cutting/ shaving the inside rear fender isn't to bad. but do you guys think the front fender being just rolled would be okay to drive with a mild tuck (drop) on a 235/40/19 on that 19x9 + 22 (offset)??
and your also saying that a ??x35x19 would ride a lot softer than a ??x30x20??

with 235/40, you will rub the front fenders until you roll the fenders out. If you are really worried about ride quality, just get some 225/35s that runs big (such as federal tires), or a 235/35 that runs true to its size
265/35 should work with a shaved rear and a slightly rolled fender. i would be on the 255/35 just to be safe but if you really want the rubber then yes 265/35 will work.
better make your decisions quick because these are going on ebay today!

still available? how would this sit on a 1st gen ls400, front fenders are already sheved and pulled a little bit, and rears are shaved and have 1-1.5 camber all around. would like to run a 40 series tire all around with a 225 or 235 up front and and 265 in the rear
