if anyone wanted to know....
these are great tires.
really impressive dry traction. good wet traction. very low noise.
i bought a set 2 weeks ago and im absolutely in love with these tires.
ive had falken 512s, 912s, and 452s
but i would definitely buy the hankooks again for my next set,

5zigen sc3000 sport engine rims.
Front: 19X8.5 +45
Rear: 19X9.5 +38
IS350, S-techs on stock shock, no fender mods. 275's would look fat on her, I just dont think I can swing em. The rims should be here Monday or Tuesday and I want to inpect em before I shoot off the for tires. I am a wheel/tire NooB, but I'm not completely dumb. If you can convince me and still have them next week, I may just take them off your hands

I have been looking at that ALOT!!! Been cruising the aftermarket wheel posts seeing what has been reported to work and what is not.
The basics that I am getting a feel for is that the 275's are going to be tight on the fender side. So then I am looking at rolling or shaving. I find the idea of taking a rotary grinder to my fenders to be daunting. I have a buddy that has rolled a few cars and I'm waiting for him to get back with me.
My question on the front is what the clearance is between the stock front tire (225/40/18 on an 18x8 +45 offset) and the spindel that people report being afraid of making contact with? How much tollerance is needed? And would it contact the rim or the tire? If its the rim then I think I am going to be ok. I do not think the extra 1/4" in it will stick will cause an issue. However adding a 20mm wider tire may depending on where the spindle would make contact. Its been over a year since I lowered the IS, and I do not remember exactly where the spindle is in reference to the wheel and its like 100 outside with 70% humidity.
But this is more a topic for the fitment threads and I'm going to be posting there to get some feedback.

Cool, thanks. I'm also a tire newb. My rims are 19x8 et 45 and 19x9 et 55. According to the tire calculator you mentioned, they should fit ok. I have stock suspension. I just want to double check that these will fit right and not have any rub issues?
