HELP!! NEED 17X8 for SC 430!!!
I am striking out trying to downsize to 17in.
Tirerack, wheel experts and wheels boutique all say they have no wheel that will fit. And countless other local guys...
Does anyone know if the OEM 17x8 from the GS will fit? Will they accept RF sensors?
Any and all suggestions appreciated and, yes, I know that downsizing is not a popular thing to do.
Thanks!

First, have you asked what the proper fitment is? What offset, size and disk clearance?
Second, if you hate the ride of the 18" RFs then why get 17" RFs. Granted you would need a spare, but the 17" RFs are just as bad if not worse because of the amount of extra rubber they have to use to hold up a larger sidewall.
Lastly, I am surprised that wheelexpert and wheelboutique said that they didn't have a wheel that fit. I would think that any HRE can be cut to fit. I think it maybe a case of they have no CHEAP wheel that fits your budget. In that case, I understand. Post a price you are willing to work with and someone can better assist you in your odd quest.

RFs are out
I am not planning to buy 17in RFs. But I would like to use the pressure sensors with non-RFs. Is that a no-no??
Price wasn't the issue (within reason).
I have since been told that the GS 17 in OEMs will fit, but I would like to talk to someone who has actually tried it before I pay to have wheels shipped across country.

huh?
If you go to the TireRack Winter Tire section, you can choose 16" or 17" wheel/tire packages...
BTW: For fitment, I put on a 16" wheel and it fit/cleared the brakes just fine...
Check the archives on SC430 forums because I know for a fact there was discussions on there being a 16" BBS wheel/tire package put on Canadian SC430s last winter by their dealers -- aftermarket wheels obviously!!!!
TireRack maybe doesn't have enough experience but whatever fits on the GS430 will also fit on the SC430 as I believe they are the same bolt pattern, offset and center bore..
...someone else is free to correct me if I am wrong!!!!!

not exactly...
You are right that they have some smaller wheels, but they will not accomodate the 245/45/17 Michelins that I (hopfully) am getting.
Starting to look like OEM GS 430 wheels. That will let me have the Lexus dealer move over the RF sensors, since I won't be traveling with any spare.
