I tried that same move, haha. Ended up buying one more box, cut those in half and taped a top on the 4 exposed sides. Voila! Shipping made easy.

You went to a FedEx office that's the problem. Go to the FedEx station on 2500 e Kimberly in Fullerton 92831 and they will take the boxes minus the plastic around box . I've shipped out two sets of wheels the 2011 for Khoa mk4 sup and 08 blades for another member and your packing looks perfect .
