Default Tire noise

I have a beautiful LS 430 UL with 11,000 miles. It came with 16" Dunlop sport 5000 tires. On smooth surface roads, the road noise is non-existent. However, on rough or grainy surface roads, the road noise is excessive. I have read several threads on tire noise, but my question is is the noise the tires/road surface, or an innate system idiosyncracy with the suspension system? Thanx in advance for weighing in,,,

Default Noise

Noise like this is a result primarily of the tread pattern, and to a lesser extent the construction of the tire. I think it has little to do with the suspension.
