Wheel Opinion? SSR GT3 or IForged Evolution? Pic's SSR's.
Hi Guys, need your opinion on a set of rims. I have been looking at the SSR GT3's for quite some time. I was just about to order them until I saw the IForged Evolution (which blew me away). I am looking at a set of 19X8.5 front, 19x9.5 in the back with 245/35/19's and 275/30/19's. The difference in price between the two is about $300 more for the IForged. I was just about to order the IForged until I read about a horror story on Clublexus about a member waiting for 20 weeks or so, so I am worried about the potential wait and the possibility of not getting them in the time promised. I called up IForged and they tell me definitely no longer than 6 weeks and as soon as three since the ones I want is not chrome (which they say takes a bit longer). I want to believe them but aftering reading our fellow members horror story I am very skeptical. I really love the look of the Evolution's but the SSR GT3's are ready to be delivered and $300 cheaper. All things being equal I would really rather have the IForged but I feel it's a gamble after what I read. What do you guys think? Thanks for your opinions!

Well, reading the horror story about iforged had steer me away from them, but I' ve just read in another car forum of a guy who ordered iforged for his G35 coupe & got them in 3 weeks. So they don't always screw up, but looks like their customer service is spotty. Depends on how badly you want them to be worth taking a chance.

The only way I would get the iForged is if your close enough to PHYSICALLY pick your wheels up. Not only that you can go around and make sure they are doing the right thing. if your not in reasonable driving distance to iForged, I would call Tirerack, then sitback, relax and wait for your GT3s, both are nice wheels, btw.

Since I am a gamblin man, I'm gonna take a chance on the IForged. I really liked them both a lot, but I think the IForged is a bit more unique. I'll be ordering them on Monday. Thanks for your opionions!

SSR GT3 gets my vote in though i have them.. I went with a set of zauber gettins and right off the bat when getting mounted found 2 wheels are totally out of round. complete waste of time , when i returned home from my installer i called brandon at the tire rack and did the prudent thing and ordered as set of ssr gt3 , quality is top top notch , the finish on the lips impeccable and the fact that if you trash one brandon is right there with another within 2-3days fed ex not 6-12 weeks like the gettins i was going to do or any other simialer quality wheel out of japan.
heres my pic and i am happy with them , lightweight and makes a huge statement wherever you go.. get in touch with brandon at the tire rack , hes the best source IMO to get it done and done right
oh by the way my neighbor across the street from me loved the gt3 soooo much immed bought a set for his C5 vette from brandon and his is slammin

Ok I didn't get the Iforged after all after reading about all the horror stories about em on the various forums.
I was gosh darm close to ordering the HRE 540R's but I could not justify paying 5k plus, so I wound up getting the SSR GT3's after all. They should be in by Monday/Tuesday of next week. I will post pictures after the install. Thanks for all you input!
