Default Replacement 17" wheels for an '04

I'll be picking up my '04 LS430 in a couple of weeks. I wanted the Sport package, but none was available. I think the stock wheels are pretty tame, and was wondering if anyone had ideas and or pics of some good replacement wheels. I'd like to spend less than $1,000. The Mille Miglia Spider II (found at the Tire Rack) are my first choice so far. Thanks.

My only advice would be that if you buy a car as expensive as an LS430 you not scrimp on the cost of the wheels. Even on my former "lowly" GS300SD, I had BBS RGRs. Not cheap, but certainly well worth it.

Check the wheels classifieds here for some options. In the end, it is your car and if a $1K set of wheels makes you smile, it is your choice. This would be reminescent of wearing a fine tailored suit with shoes from Payless Shoe store. IMO

Tire Rack... www.tirerack.com... allows you to pull up a picture of your car with different brands/styles of wheels. Makes it easier to choose. Wheel Experts... www.wheelexperts.com... upgrades rims on lots of Lexuses (Lexi?). Both companies really know their stuff. Good luck, and enjoy your LS!

I think probably 99 % of stock wheels on even $60K plus cars on the road would fit that description, at least to the eyes of most here in this forum. I do agree that he should pick good quality rims that won't bend easily.
