Hey guys,
I plan to sell 4 stock gs 300 rims and would like to take off the tire. Is there any way I can do this myself or do I have to find a place to get it off. In reality it would save me time and the space involved just to mail the rims without the tires.
Thanks,
Bryan

I am certain you have seen those large devices at tire shops that rotate around the rim to unseat the tire. They start at $2000 and go up to $5000 and beyond. That would be very hard to duplicate at home.
If you were gonna throw away the tire anyway, you may be able to cut the bead area w/a Dremel tool, but that certainly would be more trouble than it is worth.
If you are a member of Costco, that might be your best bet- they had the cheapest prices for mounting, so they would probably be the best for unmounting, too.
