Question

I had to repost this because the server deleted my post.

I was wondering if the guys ( who have 9" and 10" wide wheels) have any problem riding up on lifts?

Or do you put back on the stockers when taking the car in for service?

Thanks again !

Thumbs up

No probs here. Most lifts raise the car at the lift points. Has nothing to do with width of wheels, as far as I know.

I've got P235's on my lex but my former vette had P275's. They were huge. I never had a problem when I took it in for service - most of the shops had what I call 'frame grabber' hydraulic lifts. It picked the car up from the frame between the wheels.

My garage ramps were not so accommodating, though.

just remember to check the offset of the rims to determine the size of the tire, also the drop of your car. i wanted to run 285's on the rear but my tire guy said that it would rub the fenders. so i took his advice and went with 275's, glad i did. no rubbing the fenders here.
