PM a member named StevieJ on here or on Lexus Owners Club, he is one of the few people I know with aftermarket wheels on a 3rd Gen ES, I'm not sure of his offset, but I know he has 18x8 or 8.5 with 235/40-18 Toyo Proxes tires.

good luck man

The Camry/ES300 platform generally suits offsets between +38mm and +43mm.

Therefore, your particular wheel should fit, but I recommend also double-checking with a master tech or service tech at your Lexus dealer.

Good luck!

Tirerack.com has a wheel selector feature that shows a 2d side view of any chosen car with selected wheels on it. It's a little crude, but it will give you an idea of what the wheels you want will look like on your car, if TR carrys them.

Checking out on Tirerack.com, with the 17x8 wheels, most of the wheels that they show to fit the 2004 es330 have the offset of 40mm. After checking through their 17 inch wheels though, I did finally find the SSR Competition's 17x8 offset 38mm.

Therefore, the 17x8 offset 38mm wheels that you have will most likely fit.

Good luck with the wheels!

Default This offset stuff confuses me

I am a noob to aftermarket wheels. I have been looking and trying to figure out the offset I am looking for. I have a 2004 ES330 with stock tires and wheels
P215/60R16.

I purchased new tires the same size, but I would like to buy some wheels that will make the tire more flush with the fender. Can I please get some help with the offset I would need?

Best thing to do is go to a wheel shop and have them test fit a wheel for you so that you can determine if the offset looks good or not to you. Or buy from tirerack.com. they guarantee the proper fitment.

This problem often happens with several cars when they are not using good call bearing or ball joints or there tires have become older. So, maintenance of ball bearings and ball joints is very important
