Racing Hart M6 on GS400 question
I tried searching, but didn't find my answer.
Anyway, are the R/H M6 high quality wheels? I remember reading that some R/Hs are not real 3 pieces. Something about them being made by Dazz Motorsport or something like that.
I'm thinking about these:
18x8 (all around)
+44 offset (I check Rominl's thread about offset for 18x8 and he shows a low 30s offset...I hope these would not pose a problem with rubbing the suspension).
fits both 4 and 5 lug pattern (including 5 x 114.3)
Here are some pictures. Does anyone here have a GS with these wheels on? What do you think about the quality of these wheels? Are they worth $1,000 (used for a couple of months)?

the RH evolutions aren't the 3-piece versions, but the pic you posted is of the Racing Hart 3pc M6 wheel, i think for $1000 it's a good price with tires
you can tell if they're the real 3-piece by feeling behind the rivets, if you fell the studs behind it, then yes, they're the real ones......
Racing Harts are high quality 3-piece or forged 2-piece wheels
RH Evolution i guess are the single piece, affordable versions of the multi-piece Racing Harts

Well, the price isn't really $1k
How about the fit? Is the offset correct for a GS400?
I was told that they are 3-piece, but they are welded together (not put together by those bolts).

Question. The higher the number the more tucked in the wheel is. Or is it the other way around?
Example: Is +44 more tucked in then +32?
It's still confusing to me.

Yeah, I guess I know what you guys are right.
The positive offset is too high, which results in jamming the wheels in closer to the suspension.
Rom,
When you said
What do you mean by rubbing? you mean rubbing the fenders right? Going from a +26 to a +36 will sticks the wheels IN more (closer to the suspension....and further away from the fenders).
The thing is....I don't *think* I want a staggered set up (for rotation purposes)....unless someone here convinces me that tire-life is almost the same regardless whether you rotate or not.
I do like the staggered look, but just worried about uneven wear without rotation (I know I know, I can still rotate if I unmount the tires).
I want a very conservative setup. I don't every want to rub. I plan to drop the car using either Eibach/Bilstein or Tein CS. I don't want to go over 18s since I live in the pothole infested streets of NYC.
What do you guys think is a nice conservative setup? 18x8F and 18x9R?
Thx for the help.

Rom,
When you said
......that's same as 8 +26. if you don't want rubbing, i suggest 8 +32

the M6 are actually 2pc. i had 18" on my gsr, the only thing i don't like about that one is that the lip is not as nice as the 3pc. it's kinda dull compare to my previous 3pc C5 on my MKIII supra.

What do you guys think? Should I get a staggered setup? 18x9 in the rear? Or will 18x8 all the way around be OK? Will it look funny?
I'm new to wheels & suspension. Any/all advice will be greatly appreciated.
The seller is looking for $1,300. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. If I'm patient, do you think I can get better wheels/tires (that'll fit better) for $1,300 (used of course)?
