Words of wisdom right there.

I guess the Kumhos are okay, we have no experience with them whatsoever. They seem to get decent ratings on the Tire Rack website... We have had good first-hand experience with price-conscious tires such as Nitto, Toyo, and Falken, however.

A friend of mine is a Mercedes Master Tech at Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Newport Beach. When I go by to visit him, he inevitably has a two-year old S500 on the rack with a ratty set of Hancook or Nankang tires on it. I mean, I understand the car is probably on a lease, but jeez, you'd think a person with a $90,000 car could coin-up for some tires that were more than $37 each...

You wouldn't wear "Ked's" shoes on your feet, would you? Just something to keep in mind when equipping your Lexus.

i picked up a set of 245/35/20s Toyo Proxy4 locally for 750$ ride great on my SC so far.

Alot of ppl want to go with a cheaper tire casue their camber and alignment are off and they are alwasy replacin tires so there is no use to go with a expensive tire if your gonna have to replace them so quickly. I could of picked up some Wali for 140$ each be opted to spend just a lil bit more for the Toyos.

I am also in the process of buying tires in 245/35/20. Nittos are on ebay for about 800 shipped but I 've heard mixed reviews on them. Sumis are on ebay for 750 shipped but i've heard that they tend to bubble and split. Wanli are the cheapest for 650 shipped and I've heard they have a strong sidewall and other good reviews but I am a little weary about putting the cheapest tires on my car especially a no-name brand like wanli. So I may suck it up and pay 900 for falken azenis but saving 250 and just getting wanli sounds like it would not be a bad option...especially since I can't use my 20s year round. Tough decisions.
