are you supposed to do a wheel alignmet when you get new wheels and tires?

if you have big wheels, alignment really should be done every 5k miles or so. I do it every 3k miles to get the most out of my tires. Yeah, the work they did was fine. Takes a lil while, but they haven't screwed anything up yet, including my wheels.
