Default Will a +43 offset work on ES300?

Ive searched and all I could find was info that said a +42 would work, but I couldnt find anything about a +43. It would be 18x7.5 +43mm offset on a '95 ES300. Would this work? If it works will it look good? I dont know much about offset and all that so thanks for any help you guys can give.

That off-set will work but why such a narrow wheel? 7.5 wide is super narrow and will look small when you slap it on. You should do a 8.5" wide wheel with a +43 offset. It will flow better with the line of the car.

Unfortunately, anything wider than a 225 tends to rub on 92-01 ES's. A 8.5" wheel would likely have 245-255 width rubber, which would probably rub against the rear suspension. That's why us ES guys have such a tough time finding decent wheels--the models made by better brands are all too wide, and the narrow wheels that fit the ES well tend to be of lesser quality.

yep.. 8.5 would be too wide ...

So is it the general concensus that a +43 offset would work?
If anyone who knows about wheels would care to take the time and tell me a few things, like how the offset effects the lip on the wheel (wheel I am considering comes in +35, +43, and +48 offsets, all are supposed to have a lip). Thanks alot

On the ES, I have done 18x8.5 +35 with 225/40-18. The relatively low offset is required to clear the rear strut tube with this width- an 18x8.5 +40 will not work in the rear. However, we did have to roll the rear fenders so the tires wouldn't rub- looked sweet though!

If you want a slam-dunk set-up, and 18x8 +38 or +40 front & rear should do the trick.
