Front brake upgrade and proportioning?
Has anybody attacked the issue of balancing the braking from front to rear with a front brake upgrade only?
What I mean is, if you put big brakes on the front only (on a GS), what can you do to keep the rears from just sleeping all the time. I am sitting on my TT front brakes until I figure this out.
I thought of just using stock TT pads up front and using a really aggresive pad (high friction coefficient) on the rear to compensate some, but it seems like a pretty lame solution.
Has anybody looked at the proportion valve from the Supra to see if there is a way to work it in? Can you make your own valve (using some fluid mechanics calculations) to figure out the right tubing sizes? Anybody else thought about this?
Have any TT brake owners on a GS hit the brakes hard (panic stop) while cornering at speed and had bad results?
Thanks.
