I am not totally against buying used, just not really sure of it unless it was local and I could see before I pay. 2K+ is a lot of faith when buying used wheels from a distance... not willing to risk such a high amount on possibly damaged rims or previously damamged rims.

I am going to keep my eyes open for a good deal somewhere though.

What I really want are L-Tuned wheels but no one has any...

My opinion: either wait or keep your $2K. Don't waste your money.

Alternative choices: body kits / xenon light upgrade / stereo system...

$2K can do a lot of stuffs, but $2K cannot get "head tuner" rims for sure. Good luck man.

Why not check out the Wheel Market Forum, there are some good wheels for sell with great prices. GSXOTIC is selling his WORK 19-inch staggered with tires in mint condition.
Thanks Eric... heehee

j-rok is selling his dronnels brand new in silver for 1500.00 shipped, never mounted. these r pretty light weight, non chrome, good quality JDM wheels, but they aren't staggard but u can always get a spacer in the rear for a wider stance. say u spend about 1000.00 on tires, it should b in u'r range. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=136840

Saw them, If they were 19"s I would probably been more interested. I really want to stay in the 18-19 range.

The first wheel looks like a wheel cover (hub cap). The others look like cheap wheels you'd find at Pep Boys. I'd save some more scratch for a nicer wheel...

Getting closer to a purchase. After more consideration...

1. My current tires are basically brand new with maybe 90%-80% wear.
2. I am starting to think staggered is not neccessary and would prefer factory sizing especially for the amount of freeway (less rolling resistance=17x8) driving I do when I do drive the GS.
3. Quality and weight to improve accelleration are still important.

Looking at these Enkei's in 17X8 with +45 Offset, Weight is under 18lbs

Have heard good things about this wheel.

Also looking at this one Fittipaldi Force... Weight is 19lbs with +35 Offset

This is just my opinion. If you're gonna stay with stock size, keep the wheels you have. They look okay. Why spend money to keep the same size?

i also agree with reggie and to add to that the 17 look way to small esp since you have some aero body parts on the car which tend to make the body look taller and wheels smaller ..

i would recc at least 18in in a full face or spokes out to the lip so increase the illusion that the wheels are bigger like in this pic of my old set of 18's

or look at these asa in 18in on my bro in laws ride pkge price from tire rack was just about 2k with tires.. they are imo a decent entry level set of wheels for those who are budjet minded

I don't want chrome, stock chrome 17's are slowly leaking air. The Enkei's are Hyper Black which I think would look nice.

I am now considering going with a staggered 17x8 front and 17x9 rear in the RPM2.

If I go 17x9 rear what size tire would I need to have the same profile as the factory 17x8 setup. I think my current tire size is 245/35-17 (Fat setup?)

Offset in the 17x9 is +40 so I am guessing the rears will look pretty aggressive... Thoughts

Sorry if I am letting you guys down, but I am just not the type to drop big $$$ on wheels.

no problem bro , hope i/we dont sound or come off trying to pressure you , just trying to help out and voice concerns and exp for i for one wish i had listened at first instead of wasting the money on cheap wheels instead of doing it right the first time ..

i still suggest , be patient and find a highend setup used from the classifieds here or supra forums and you will not have to spend alot to achieve the right look and peace of mind knowing you got it right the first time
