Guys, well I am planning to get some 14" front big brake kit, but just wondering what do you guys use as a spare tire?

Thanks !

You have to specify which setup. The calipers is going to be the issue. I am using an L-Tuned 18s as my spare. Bitkahuna is doing the same. We both have 14" StopTechs.

This is what i use. 18" Volk TE-37, lightweight and fits any brake kit out there.

I consulted with Brandon from the tire rack on getting one that was the right offset & would clear + included the different lug nuts you'd need if you used it.

Beyond the obvious brake clearance, I looked for 1) cheap (it is a spare afterall) and 2) light (don't want a 45 lb wheel back there) 3) overall size would fit in my spare tire well.

He recommended the 18" SE Fox 5 at $165 and a lightweight performance tire to go with it.

I really wanted to dump an extra $300 and get a single SSR competition wheel since they're so light, but I just couldn't justify that cost for 8-9 lbs and a wheel I hopefully will never use.

Recommend you give him a shout once you decide what brakes you're going with.

Ahhh thanks guys for the different choices ! Yeah I wouldn't want a wheel that weighs like 45 pounds because my rims right now are heavy enough . My RMM brakes looks small behind my lsportlines or maybe I see more people getting 14 inchers on here

well my ap racing looks small behind my 20s too so i know what you talking about. the problem with 14" is that you need at least 18" wheels. otherwise you just need to use the stock 17" spare with spacers

It's all relative.

Plus his APs are not 14s.
