Yes as Rom stated it should fit but will be stretched. Yes your rim will have no protection so you have to be real careful.

The 225/35/20 will work and junction had a 225 on a 9" wheel so the 8.5 should be fine..you will have a slight strech..255 in the back will be fine I have had the 255 on my 10" rear for about 4 months and no problems..I have noticed that these tire set-ups make the wheels look bigger...Btw, did you mean 225/35/20 or 225/30/20???

+40 in the front and +35 in the rear.I will probably go with the 225/30 up front and a 255/30 for the rear. All bfg stuff.I am looking to "lower" the car.I won't be doing any bodykits on the car just some stuff to make it handle and acclerate a "lil" faster.

Pirelli makes the NERO tire in 245/30-20 + 285/25-20 now- a better fit for the GS (in fact, it is the "correct" tire for the GS, in terms of circumference). This fits perfectly on 20x8.5 and 20x10- I did this on a new E55 (belongs to Peter @ Wheel Experts) and it looks killer!!

I don't think you'll find 225/35-20 and 255/30-20 in the same brand of tire- you'll need (for example) BFG front and Continental or Michelin rear. I wouldn't recommend this, but perhaps Brandon @ TR can shed some light...

What's wrong with using the proper tires for this car?

bob isn't it too scary to use the 30 and 25 series tires? that's really subber band now?!

and the offset aren't very low for the car (the rear is low though). if the offset is lower for the front i think it will look better
