Huh, thats very good to know, thanks rom.

I think I will roll the fenders, because I hate the look of having too small a wheel in the rear.

Yes, increases are incremental though, and the DuraClear (clearcoat) option has DECREASED in price, which will offset the increases!

While the prevailing current trend is reverse, there are quite a few folk (especially Audi / BMW guys) that prefer the stepped look for a couple reasons.

1. Classic look- really has the multi-piece look (when I was younger I remember identifying multipiece wheels, as the ones with the wavy outside part!)

2. More conservative look- since the center is a 19 with a 20" barrel it tones down the look of the wheel, which is really good for E46 and B5/B6 Audi guys that want run 20s. With the new addition of the 225/235/245 section tires with 30 and 35 series sidewalls, there are ALOT more Eurocar guys going with the "big baller dubs" LOL

Another A4 (B6 model) with 20s and 245/30-20 (lowered as well)

S4 (B6) with 20s and 235/35-20 (aggressive drop)

E46 convertible with 20s (not sure of tire size)

ah that's intereting. but my question is, if they want to "tone" down their cars with big 20s, why not just get the 19s then? yes the step will make the wheels look smaller, but isn't that defeating the point of having bigger wheels? very interesting analysis

love to hear more from you derrick, lots to learn

Guess they want them to look bigger than 19 and smaller than 20? Maybe 19.5 appearance? LOL

HAHAHAHA, that's interesting thought. i always thought that the reversed is going to take over step, but seems like that's not the caseq

to me....the wheels with reverse lips look soo much better .....I guess if you want the "old school look" then the step lip would be more appealing to you

I'm settling for the Daytona in 19". I've found the tires but I didn't see a 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 set. I've found 275/30/19 for the rear. My question is will the 275 hurt the ride. If so where can I find the correct rears. Oh the brand was Bridgestone RE750.

the 275 is narrower and theretically you lose some handling. also the profile is a bit lower than 285 but i think that's negligible.

what width wheel you got in the back? if it's 10, then 275 will be fine
