This is a nice pic of a nice 5 star rim in chrome. Not my choice in body color but I like the way it is setup IMHO.

Cool

Hi I have

SSR STRUSSE (SMD finish polish dark chrome) 19X9, 19X10 PZERO-235F, 275 R. The finish look like the new BMW M5 wheel finish. They said it was rare.

I already have the wheels on my car. I think they look awesome especially if youi knew what I paid for them brand new. You would **** your pants!!

People have been complementing me nonstop.

If you want a mean-*** high performance, aggressive sporty look and you like the 5 spoke look, these are ideal.

They are genuine 2 piece wheel with the big rivets.

Personally, I love them and I feel they look every bit as good as the 3 Piece M-5 wheels which cost nearly 3 times what I paid for mine.

I should have some pics up w/in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks,

Ted

I see a lot of you using Nitto Extreme 555s. What is so good about them, and would you recommend them for stock 17" chromes for a guy who is never on the track?

Dieselman63 - Those are (if they're the real thing), AME ModelArts. Very nice looking rim, well made, but unfortunately, hella played out and everyone makes a knock off of it...was great a few years ago...

Nanotech - I like the Nittos because they last long and they hook well...I've owned all sorts of tires and the Nittos always held up (unlike Pirelli's). They are a tad bit louder than some other tires but it doesn't bother me at all...I rarely drive with the stereo turned off...

Ted920 - I'm glad you're happy with your rim choice. Good choice on the tires. I think you need to update your .sig now

I had Nitto's and switched to Pirelli
Nitto are very noisy and harsh
Pirelli are much smoother
treadwear on pirelli isnt all that great
but i rather have a smoother ride

just my opinion

Erick G - Hey, so how are you likin' your Model 1 Evos? Happier with these rims instead of the other ones?

BQN109com - Nice rims. I love the Strusse! Dark Chrome is very rare. Props!

I have:

Front--20x8.5 Chrome Lowenhart LD1's with Nitto NT 555's 245/35
Rear--20x10 Chrome Lowenhart LD1's with Nitto NT 555's 275/30

In my opinion, on a big car like the GS400, you can't go anything less that 20's!!!! Just my opinion though, others may think differently.

Hey Bqn109com:

I looked up the Strusse and found some pics on www.shinkairacing.com. They are called Agle Strusse. I see them in silver (my preference) and chrome. What is the dark chrome like? Where did you get yers? How much did you pay???

They are awesome.
I think I like them as much as Lowenhart LD-1's but they look like theyre pretty expensive.

Great choice.
