With hi-polished, the face, lip and inner barrel are polished. If you order clear they are all clearcoated as well.

I take my wheels off and polish the inners every other month or before a club cruise. Hawaii has some areas that are more muddy than others plus it rains most of the winter.

Does anyone know the benifits from having the clearcoat? Because I'm thinking curb damage wouldn't buff out as smooth with clearcoating.

Thats true about the curb damage you would have to repair the clear coat as well but then the upside is that you donht have to polish the wheels since they are coated.

well, with clear coat, it's a lot easier to take care of. a lot of time dust just raise off. the brake dust won't eat into the metal

however, the down side is it will get dull over time, very hard to keep shine, compare to no clearcoat where you can buff all you want. also, if you have curb rash, tehre is no way you can just polish it out. you have to take out your tire for sure, and then polish the whole thing by stripping clear coat, and then you will have to put on clear coat again

that's why i didn't ge clear coat on my hre
