Saw this older thread but hoped to get some advice from you gurus. I maybe selling my SSR GT3s (19x8.5F and 19x10R) from my 99 GS400 to a 2004 350Z owner. From my research here the lug patterns match but the Z owner is worried about the look and offset.
Do you guys have any input on this? esp. you Henry :-)

"Standard" 5x114.3 offsets (like +35 or +40) do indeed fit the G35 Coupe, but they look pretty weak.
These 'higher' offsets are well-suited to the G35 sedan, however.
As others have stated, the G35C/350z really like lower offsets- the OE wheels are 18x8 +30 front & 18x8.5 +30 rear. The GS, on the other hand, comes with 17x8 +50, which is, admittedly, pretty conservative on these cars.
MarkMac: the SSRs will fit the 350z, but will look pretty weak. Some people are not that critical about wheel fitment, so it won't matter- but it sounds like your potential customer is concerned. I think he will be disappointed with the fitment.
Also, the Nissan/Infiniti wheels use a 66.1mm hub bore, whereas the Lexus cars use 60.1\
If may need hub-centeric rings or modifications to the wheel centerbore depending on what you're doing.

Just for my clarification, the offset is a relative number based on the wheel and relation to that particular car's wheel/hub geometry, correct? Meaning, the same wheel will have a different offset based on the car.
From Tirerack.com
So the offset for a GT3 on a GS are :+37MM front and +41MM rear
Offset for GT3 on a 350Z: +30mm front and +41MM rear
This is for the same wheel right? Would SSR make rims with totally different offsets or is the offset just a relative number based on the car?
WRT the hub bore, the GS requires a hub-centric rings now, I guess we would need to get a ring to fit the 350z application correct?

As for the hub, you are right. You will need a ring that is appropriate for the 350z.

neo is correct. offset is completely on the wheel, it has nothing to do with the car. so no matter where you put the wheels, the offset of the wheel won't change. but a lot of companies they make different offset wheels for different cars, just like neo mentioned.
and yes, to p ut nissan wheels on lexus, you will need a new hub ring. to put the lexus wheels on nissan, you will need to make a bigger bore

Okay thanks again guys for the info...I think it will be easier to sell to another GS owner, I'm giving the Z owner a screaming deal cuz he is a friend of mine. I think these will be on sale on CL in the next week or so if he doesn't like the fitment.
