So Bob, do you have no rubbing at all with this setup? If not, what is the extent of the rub? Kind of curious if I ever get new wheels.

Yes, he will likely create more clearance issues by adding spacers- the 20x9.5 +40 is about right.. You know me well: I would have gone more aggressive if it was feasible (wait 'til you see the wheels I ordered for my '85 MR2- 17x8 + 17x9!!)

I really didn't mod the front that much, just rolled the fender edges a little bit. The real mods were at the rear... For this set-up, i would go 255/35-20 if you like a relatively "square" looking sidewall. If you like 'em stretched, go with 245/35-20. A 255/30-20 would be sweet on this set-up, best with 295/25-20 (Conti offers this, Michelin will have them by summer).

I should have asked: what width are you putting out back? It will important to choose a tire size that has an appropriate rear tire.

Henry: as for the 10.5" rear wheel, I felt it would stretch the 285/30-20 tire too much. Since I have a commitment with Yokohama, and they don't currently offer anything wider in a 20", I will keep this for a while. Ultimately, I will widen the rear to 20x11 to accommodate a 305/25-20 tire, and I'll use the 255/30-20 up front. Wider is better!

gotcha bob, that's good to know. with 11 in the back, do you think 305 is good or it's too much? coz' on the mb slr, the rear is 10.5 or 11, and it has 295? just curious

anyway, bob, can you hit me up some time for the warranty work we talked about? i want to spend couple mins with you to set things up. thanks

Hey! Thanks for all the help you guys I would be totally clueless without you.

What I wanted to do was 19x8 in the front and 19x12 in the back. The problem was cost and with my current cash situation that's unfortunately not a option (at least not yet )

So then what happened was I stumbled on a amazing ebay auction that had 20x9.5 front and 20x9.5 rear. Now that's not really what I wanted to do but the rims look incredible, are brand new, and the 4 cost as much one of them new. Plus with 210 positive feedback and 2 negative I think its safe to bid. So I emailed the guy and said: "Hey, is there any chance I could get 20x8.5 or 9 in front instead?" and he basically told me I could but it'd be $1,150 more cause he'd have to order them instead of just getting rid of overstock or something like that. So in the end they may not be staggered but they are primo JDM wheels and I know they'll look super sick on my car... at least I hope they do!

But most importantly:

Spacers =
255/35-20 =

Auction ends tomorrow, i'll post pics when I have them. Unfortunately I gotta figure out what i'm doing about suspension before I put them on... well... maybe a test fitting
