Default Rims for the new GS/tire size Q's

I have CHROME LS 400/430 rims 18" X 7.5" .45mm offset on my sc400 with 225/40/18 tires...looks great....but i am itching to get the new gs300 towards the end of the year when prices hopefully fall...I was wondering if anyone knew if lexus continues to allow th 5 bolt sysyem to be interchangable and compatible with the 2006 gs models....pictures seem to suggest that the bolt pattern is the same...also..225's are the widest that will fit a 7.5 inch width...so should I stick with the 225/40/18's or move to the 225/50/18's for a smoother ride???

I believe the new GS430 has a 18" option with 245/40-18, FYI

i don't know 100% yet, but it would only make sense if they still use the same bolt pattern.

there is a guy in the 3rd gen forum with wheels, maybe you can ask him about the bolt pattern

I would hope the bolt pattern is the same since Sewell is selling the G-Spider rims to more than just the 3GS guys,

As for the current wheels, you can use it as a temporary solution but I'd suggest getting wheels that better fit the GS. Get at least 8 or 8.5 width, appropriate offset (35-45), to accommodate the appropriate tire (245). These are relatively safe approximations and will depend on how aggressive you want to go.
