Just wondering what to expect for my tires. I don't have a ton of miles on them, but they slip a little in the rain although the tread looks really good still.

Performance tires is pretty general, do you have a specific tire / size in mind.

my avs had about 25k miles
my current pzero nero already has about 10 to 15k, still no sign of tread major tread wear...

usually i say should be rfom 25k to 25k for max performance, depending on driving habits

Agreed, your question is very general.....are we talking about an 'all season' or 'summer' performance tire & specifically which one(s)?

all season tires i guess. like 20" nittos on a gs300. I'm trying to budget and figure out how long these tires will last. I'm hoping 20k miles.

Go with Falken Ziex ZE-512's They will last a minimum 30,000 miles & are just fantastic in bad weather including heavy rain & snow! Excellent rolling resistance & an aggressive tread pattern. It a very often overlooked high quality Japanese tire.
