tires 225/40/18 or 235/40/18
i have a 97 ES300, im getting 18x8 wheels, w/ +45mm offset, i know the 225/40/18 fit all around, and i just need 5mm spacers for the rear, but i was wondering if i can use 235/40/18 tires all around? will that make a big difference? Are they too wide? will there be rubbing issues?
thanks!!
thanks!!

I thought the standard offset was 50mm on the ES so wouldn't he be better off without the 5mm spacer?

I've heard conflicting testimonials for the Bridgestone Turanza, some are good, some are not so good. I don't have any experience with Bridgestone tires, but all I can tell you that the Toyo Proxes TPT tires I'm riding now are the best tires money can buy. Great for all weather conditions, quiet tire w/ minimal road noise, and excellent tire tread pattern

- Falken Ziex ZE-512 offer excellent value, a 60,000 mile tread life & are fantastic in heavy rain, snow & icy conditions.
- Yokohama H4S.
- Goodyear Triple Treads, although it's too bad that they are not offered in an H speed rating for your car.....they offer an 80,000 mile treadlife rating & are just awesome in ALL weather conditions.

The Toyo Proxes TPT should also be considered but deos not offer as good winter traction as the others, but fantastic wet & heavy rain performance with a 60,000 tread life. Good luck!
