Default 275/30/20 on an 8.5" rim

I have had rims sitting in my garage for quite a while now for my 93 GS. There are 20 x 8.5 with a +35 offset. Would a 275/30/20 be too much on the rear? I would have liked to have gone with a staggered setup but found a great deal on these. I know the tire will bubble out some, what do you guys think? Yay or nay? I was planning on running 245/35/20 on the front and depending on the result of the rear (with 275/30/20/), I ws considering 15 or 20mm spacers.

P.S. The reason I am inquiring is because I can get a good deal on 2 275/30/20's

Just wondering... Why is it ok for a truck or suv to run large tires on narrow rims but not for cars.
For example, the 05 Lexus GX runs 265/65SR17 with 17 x 7.5-in wheels.

i could be wrong, but i think it has to do with teh profile of the tire. the tires on the suv, they have very high profile (as you see in this case, 65, instead of 30).

the so much larger sidewall will allow the tire to flex more on turns, etc...

on the other hand, with 275/30, the sidewall is tiny and it's relatively stiffer. when you turns, you want especially the frront, the tire will flex coz' of all the compression and such. with the larger tire i am not sure if it can take it.

just my guess, again i am not 100% sure. someone correct me if i am wrong

I think those sizes would be for 19s and not 20s.

I've decided not to go with the 275's. I'm just going to wait and get 245/35/20's. Thanks for the replies everyone.
