I would definitely recommend this tire..
your report concides with all the forums i have been reading in europe over the last week or so esp on scooby forums

i guess i will have to take the plunge and get them for i hate having no traction in rear

You won't be disappointed..

The TR-1 seems to be a couple of bucks more than the TS-1

do you know if the t1-r or t1-s stretch nicely?
I have a slight stretch setup on my front rims...20x9 rim running on a TS-1 245-35-20 sized tire, it works just fine..

If you live closer to new england area it would be cheaper ordering from tiresavings.com since they are in NY and shipping is cheaper. If you live in more of the southeast states I would order from edgeracing since they are in Miami. For westcoast people, I would check both sites. I wonder why tirerack or tires.com does not carry toyo?

I received my T1Rs for my MR2 last week- I am doing 215/35-18 front & 235/30-18 rear on 18x8 + 18x9 (this is an '85 MR2, first body-style). The tires look killer- nice tread pattern, 280 treadwear rating, and aggressive bead / rim protector. Too bad I don't have wheels to put them on yet... maybe next week!

The T1Rs come in some neat sizes, including 21"... HeHeHe...

Where did you buy them, and how much did you pay?

yea i couldn't buy my tires from edgeracing b/c they didn't have those listed, but tiresavings.com did at the time. I was very lucky to even get the rears because limited amount of 20" 275's were produced and dealers are having a hard time getting ahold of them since they are in such limited production.

Go to onlinetires.com...They don't have them listed so I recommend you emailing them since they never pick up their phone...They can get them for you for a very reasonable price..

Default T1-R Tires

Where is the best place besides tiresavings, and edgracing.com to buy the T1-R's?? Edgeracing said they didn't have them in my size 225-40-18, and 245-35-18

I just ordered mine from a local shop and they will be in by the end of next week. They had to get the 275/30/20 from GA as they are in short supply. I was able to get the tires, mount, balance for $1350. I thought it was a great price because the last set of T1S were around $1450. The only reason I didnt buy online is the good shops around here wont mount tires that you didnt purchase from them.
