wheel size info needed
Hi Guys..
I cannot get my husband to answer any more questions about my car that is going to cost him money..so I need your help.
I have a 99 LX 470. The stock wheels are marked 16. I am in serious need of new rims, as mine are starting to pit. I cannot afford to do what I would love to do...so, I am considering the swap out ebay offer for chrome wheels.
My problem...I have only found 17" (or bigger) in the wheels that are offered for the swap out..or in wheels that I like for that matter.
My question....how large can I go in wheel size before I have to start making any kind of modifications to my car. I realize buying new tires is obviously the first thing...but are there any other "things" that need to be done to my car if I switch say to 18's or 20's? I am even fine going with 17's if that means nothing needs to be done other than new tires.
If I have to make costly mod's to switch to a different size, does anyone know of a swap out place that will chrome 16" stock wheels?
Thank you in advance for your help.
