Also, on a GS, you might be able to run an aggressive enough offset to have a concave face, like the Face 2 Volk GT-C.

Volk makes some special edition Mercury Silver TE37's with polished lip. Here are some pics. Imagine the whole wheel polished though - it looks really nice.

Edit: I found a pic of polished TE37's. Not a very good picture though. Wish I could find something a little more convincing, but trust me, it looks very nice.

magnesium te37's are nice and light.

the wise sport super wade is always nice too.

ssr was purchased by tanabe iirc so they should be rolling again soon. watanabe was likely affected as well since ssr owns(ed) them as well as making wheels for various other companies like Longchamp.

I always loved the Leon Hardritt Orden (the original work euroline SL design - *note* but I still dont feel like my wheels are knock offs- but leon hardritt has some crazy nice wheels with custom offsets, nice lips, and original designs!!)

I think the Leon Hardritt are 3-piece...the Work's are 2-piece.

Auto Couture wheels are made in the US

heres what i heard

fab has made wheels at out source wheel company "speed star".

they are a big wheel company in Japan.
they bankrupted a couple month ago

so becareful with Fab orders

In Japan, changing wheel manufacture is just easy because top guys know each other fairly well So DON'T WORRY. 1 brand can have its different designs/series to be produced in different manufactures in Japan.

Top JDM VIP style Wheels:
AMISTAD
FABULOUS
AUTO COUTURE
WEDS
WALD

We carry ALL of the above wheels, please contact us if you are interested .

Though I really like the Leon Hardritt/Work Euroline SL wheels posted, these suggestions are supposed to be for a second wheel to go with the JP Scara's that GTFM has already purchased for his GS.

He's already got a set of wheels that he's gotta wipe with a diaper. I suggest going for a low maintenance, sturdy wheel that he doesn't have to worry about day to day. 1 piece forged rims should do the trick - he'll be able to utilize that FI GS without slowing for every road imperfection.

Where is he anyways? Someone get Jonny in here...

How about the Yokohama Conoisseur? Not your everyday 1 piece forged rim:
