Reverse drop center wheels have the the dropped part closer to the back side of the wheel. This keeps the rim full diameter at the face side allowing a larger disk (spokes). Tires are mounted from the rear side of the wheel.

In my opinion it all depends on the style of the wheel. In most examples I have seen, the stepped wheels give me the impression of a smaller wheel, while the reversed lip seems larger. I think they look equally as nice when done right. I will say this imho a reversed lip is like Halle Berry in cat woman, no matter how dirty or muddy they get they will still be sexy

We wont have that problem now with D2Autosport. He takes care of everything with no hassle on the customers end. Never heard of the clearcoat issue. If it was peeling off the lip that is understandable and the reason most people dont have clear put on the lips
