i did a search and found that many members here with staggered offsets or a lot of negative camber are flipping their tires. but when i went to my local tire shop and they refused to do it because of safety concerns.

can someone explain to me why?

the tire shop wants to make money, and they cant flip the tire, because what if it blows out on you? who you gonna blame? the tire company. make friends with someone at a shop then ahve them flip it for ya

the only reason why they wouldn't flip tires for you is because maybe you have A LOT of camber issues on one side where it's already bald. If not, go to another shop. They'll gladly take your cash.

if it's a good shop that knows what they are doing, and that the inside wear isn't too bad yet, then it should be ok

I found that the smaller the tire shop, the more willing they were to flip. One guy said "cash only and no receipt" (apparently he had liability concerns).
