Yes, 19" min. 20" if you want. I went 19" because I wanted a unique size and didnt plan on a kit at the time so I could slam it and it would still look good.

I know I'm the minority here, but anything over 18s is not worth the weight or ride quality penalty to me. I'd rather have more go than show.

I agree with chuck on this one, I won't be going bigger than 18's if I get new wheels for my GS. Tire selection also goes way down and cost go up. Plus the ride, etc.

Then again I'm probably an old man compared to most of you guys

I actually get a lot of clients that think this way, but honestly with the 245/40-19 the ride is quite compliant, espcially if you keep the suspension mods to a modest rate. Also as time goes on, more and more companies introduce 19" tires that are most cost effective.

The only way I could really advocate 18" for a GS, is if its for a daily driver car that travels long distances (100+ mile commutes etc), and aesthetics is 3rd priority or so. 19" fat setup always gets my vote for the overall best compromise of ride, perforamance, looks, etc

I've different wheel setups. 17" 18" 19".

I'd choose 19" all day.

There wasn't any difference in performance or ride quality between my 18 and 19.
My 19's were lighter than my 18's. Rode better and looked better. Choose quality wheels/tires.

Oh yeah, listen to D2........I had the fat setup.

I'm looking for new wheels right now and have decided on 19's. 18's were not even in the running. From what I can tell by researching the site, most GS owner go with 19's or 20's. I figured I would go with 19's so the ride is not as harsh as the 20's could be. I also figured with a bit more cush between the road and rim, possible bending of the rim will be reduced with 19's. I like the way the 20's fill the wheel well but I think fitment of the 19's will be a bit easier. Again, this is all based on the research I have gathered from the site. Others may have different, real life experience/opinion's on this.

I have 18's and i like the ride...my car is a daily driver and i was really wanting 19's but with the crappy roads around here i figured i was better off with 18's...yes i would love a 19 with fat setup but thats gonna have to wait till next year along with body pieces...

I recently upgraded to 19's from 17's, and with the addition of my coilovers, I really dont feel much of a compromise with regards comfort. I used to read all the posts about how harsh the ride would be, etc., but in my opinion, it wasnt that dramatic a change in regards comfort (maybe its the new suspension too). Anyway, while at the NorCal EOS meet this past weekend, I got to see first had some GS's on 18's, and the looked very nice in person...not too small. Maybe it depends on how the rest of the car is done up.

I think Hameed is on 18's still, and his car looks amazing!
