I have a friend who has his stock IS 300 rims sitting in his garage . He said he will give me a deal on 'em if i want them .

What do you guys think about putting IS rims on my GS ? Only reason i'm considering is that its a good deal .

I have stock 16 's so i beleive this will be a small upgrade .

Also will they fit easily ? Can i just take my stock ones off and put on the new rims?

In case someone asks . The GS 400 17's not considered because of the great deal for the IS rims.

This is just temporary until i get my HRE's next summer.

the is rim/tyres will fit i think.

but the problem is that the stock 17s-215/45/17, is this right? if so, is too small in overall diameter comapre to the stock 16, or 17 for the gs.

so, assume there is no clearance issue, your odometer will be off. hey i like the graphite finish on the is rims too. but i would just wait for the HREs.

to me, if the rims are the wrong size, it would be like wearing a speedo swim trunk that is one size too small-it might look good, but will not function well
