Default performance tiressss

i have a 2000 es300, platinum series
i'm lookin for some performance tires to put on the OEM wheels
i have 205/60/16 right now (OEM)
i live in north carolina, so it does snow a very small amount, and it also rains alot, so i would like a tire that could perform in all of those areas, although snow is marginal
do i need an all-season tire, or could i get by with a summer tire?
what sizes could i fit on the wheel? width and sidewall
how far can i go width-wise, 225? i'm thinkin 215's would be good enough
what all do i have to fix if i lower my sidewall, just the speedo?
and lastly, any of your personal picks/recommendations would be great
thanks

I have Toyo Proxes4 (all season) 215/55/16 on 7.5" rims for my wife's 2000 es300. As for 225's in 16's, I would not do it. When I asked tire rack a few years ago about it, they said a 225 in 16's are not recommended. As for all season vs summer, NC does not get much snow but when we do, you will have big problems in snow with summer tires. If you get summer tires, keep the car parked when it does snow.

I use Yokohama Parada's. They are a little noisy but the tread looks sick. When you run through water and get back on dry land it looks like tiger stripes. shweet
