Default Tires for LS430

Almost time to replace my 225/55R17 tires on a 2003 LS430. Anyone have any suggestions? I like quite tires. Consumers Report recommeded Goodyear Assurance Tripletred but the Goodyear dealer said they would not put them on a LS430. Comments? Thanks. Jacquo

Default Welcome to the forum

What was their reason for telling you they wouldn't put them on your car? Goodyear is a good brand, you may want to look into Michelin tires as well.

Edit: Moving this to the proper forum.

Default Tripletread

I put the Goodyear Tripletread on my GS , and they are ok but not great. I get more road noise than I would like.

The reason some people do not want to mount the tripletread is the speed rating. Its lower than what comes on the car and for that reason some wont mount them. As slow as I drive It really doesnt matter.

The tripletread is really good in wet conditions, and seems to have a long tread life. It just has too much road noise. Next time I will try to find a Michelin that will fit. I actually prefer the Michelin.

Default BR1AN and romini

The Goodyear man said the side walls on the Tripletred are too stiff which will give the LS430 too firm of a ride. They did recommend the Comfortred. Anyone mounted these?
